International Biomass Congress

The production of biogas and biomethane now has an ideal social, environmental and geopolitical framework in Spain for its definitive take-off. The change in trend is evident despite the fact that Spain does not yet have decisive support from the Public Administration as in the rest of the countries where it is being implemented successfully. This change in trend is based on the fact that the agents involved have a great will and have resources, technology and financing capable of launching a large number of successful projects in the short term.

This edition of the International Bioenergy Congress will realistically address all aspects of the biogas and biomethane sector necessary for interested professionals from investment entities, engineering, waste managers, consultancies, public administrations, etc., to address their projects and responsibilities with greater security and information.

We are at a key moment to make decisions and accelerate the start-up of plants because the business opportunity for the production of biogas and biomethane is real. We must all rapidly boost biomethane production with the challenge of decarbonising thermal energy demand, which is twice that of electricity, and increasing Spain's energy independence.
